Flora Europaea mesoxeric-mesic calciphile saxicole grassland element eastern Central European Stipo pulcherrimae-Festucion pallentis, Seslerion rigidae R3401, R3402, R3403, R3406 habitats In Romania in the calcareous (rarely other types of rocks) low altitude massifs from the Carpathians         This subspecies grows in low altitude calcareous mountains across eastern Central Europe and north Balkan peninsula Pictures taken in my garden from Floresti, Cluj county in may 2004 based on plants obtained from seeds from Piatra Secuiului calcareous massif, at the border between Alba and Cluj counties in september 2001. They are of a low resolution. dr.
